Puerperium

Knitting for Samuel has been getting me through some pretty rough days this past week.
My favorite newborn sweater pattern has to be Puerperium It is so darn cute with it's little row of buttons down the side.
And then there is the absolute sweetness of my son with his little boy Samuel.
I made the top sweater with worsted on size 6 needles.

This little sweater is in DK on size 7 needles. They turned out about the same size.
Sam was over 8 pounds at birth and growing fast.

Samuel

One more week and I will be holding this little Sam. Gramma is flying to Boston.

So happy to hear that you are soon to be holding that precious bundle. Due to the insane craziness that has been my life for the past few weeks, I have not had my Grandma fix either and it is killing me to think that my little grandson is growing up as fast as we know they do without me. Love those sweaters. I have yet to knit one for my little guy because he is just growing so fast. I would have no idea what size to make. I am thinking a toddler size would give me time to finish and be ready when cold weather returns.

Debbie, you should try this pattern. You can buy it in larger sizes, the newborn is a free pattern. Easy to make it bigger and works up fast. Yes these little boys are growing way to fast.
